PHIL TAYLOR is hoping to emulate the achievement of Ronnie O’Sullivan when the 2008 Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts gets underway on Thursday.
Taylor has never been defeated in Premier League Darts since the tournament began in 2005, winning the first three years of the event.

New USA Event For PDC

THE 2008 PDC US Open will be accompanied by a North American Darts Championship, giving players from the USA and Canada a further tournament to take part in this year.
The second $250,000 PDC US Open will take place from Friday 16 May to Sunday 18 May at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Connecticut.

Players Championship 08 - Event 2

WORLD NUMBER THREE James Wade picked up his first title of 2008 with a 3-1 win over Denis Ovens in the final of the StanJames.com Players Championship in Gibraltar on Sunday.
The PDC Player of the Year won three non-televised tournaments in 2007, and bounced back in style from a first-game loss in Saturday’s Players Championship to take the £5,000 winner’s cheque 24 hours later.

Players Championship 08 - Event 1

JOHN PART continued his winning run with victory in Saturday’s Stan James Players Championship in Gibraltar.
The Canadian returned to action for the first time since winning the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship on New Year’s Day with a quality display of consistency and class.

Welshman Mark Webster was crowned champion of the world after toppling Aussie builder Simon Whitlock 7-5 after a thrilling 111 minutes of top action. The 24-year-old left-hander from Denbigh conjured up some magical darts to dash the title hopes of the 38-year-old Wizard of Oz.

PDC Statement - Jason Clark
