Premier League 08 Review - Night 14

ADRIAN LEWIS claimed the final play-off spot in the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts at the Metro Radio Arena - as Phil Taylor topped the league for a fourth straight season.
Lewis came out victorious in a three-way shoot-out with Wayne Mardle and Peter Manley, with a draw against Mardle enough to put him into the semi-finals after Manley lost 8-1 to Phil Taylor.

US Open 08 Preview

PHIL TAYLOR sets out to claim back-to-back PartyPoker.net PDC US Open titles on Friday in the next part of his bid to reclaim the world number one spot from Raymond van Barneveld.
Taylor was overtaken at the head of the PDC Order of Merit by Dutchman van Barneveld in January, following his disappointing end to 2007.

Wayne Mardle Feature

Wayne Mardle is one of the most colourful characters in world darts. With his trademark Hawaiian theme engrossing the crowd with its loud extravagant shirts and walk on music of smash hit American police show Hawaii Five-0.
Nevertheless, when the referee shouts game-on, Mardle is 100% focused on the job in hand and the showman side of the Romford thrower goes out the window and the professional Mardle steps up to the oche.

US Open 08 Schedule

The £125,000 tournament begins on Friday May 16 at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Connecticut, with the 258-player field being whittled down to the last 16 on day one before the action shifts to the televised stage in the Cabaret Theatre.

2008 Thialf Darts Trophy Cancelled

2008 Thialf Darts Trophy Cancelled - due to be held on May 31st, the event has been cancelled following a sponsor withdrawal. The event will not be replaced due to lack of time but a further players championship event in Holland may be added to the calendar later this year.
