PHIL TAYLOR warmed up in style for the PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic with victory in the Las Vegas Players Championship on Sunday.
Taylor claimed his ninth PDC Pro Tour title of the year in fine fashion at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, reaching the quarter-finals without dropping a set before going on to claim the £5,000 first prize.

League of Lengends 08 Review - Night 3

Cowboy too strong for Cliff - Bob Anderson maintained his unbeaten record in the Betfred.com League of Legends when reeling off six legs on the spin to register a 7-2 thrashing of Cliff Lazarenko.
The ‘Limestone Cowboy’ now has two wins and a draw from his three matches and is showing why he was still capable of competing at the highest level before signing up for this event.

Players Championship 08 - Event 9

DENNIS PRIESTLEY claimed his first tournament victory for over a year with a 3-2 defeat of Kevin Painter in the Bristol Trade Centre Players Championship on Sunday.
The 57-year-old has recovered from prostate cancer surgery to return successfully to the PDC circuit recently, reaching the semi-finals of last month’s PDC US Open and taking the £5,000 first prize at Ashton Gate.

PHIL TAYLOR won his eighth PDC Pro Tour event of 2008 with victory over Alan Tabern in the final of Saturday’s Bristol Trade Centre Players Championship.
The world number one, who lost in the quarter-finals of last weekend’s Blue Square UK Open to Raymond van Barneveld, made a superb start to the double-header weekend at Ashton Gate in Bristol to claim the £5,000 title.

Co Stompe joins PDC

Co Stompe has joins left the BDO fold to join the PDC circuit and compete for the biggest prizes in darts. Co spent over a decade as one of the top BDO players and was ranked number 11 before his move.

UK Open 08 Review - Day 4

JAMES WADE claimed the third major title of his flourishing career with an 11-7 win over America’s Gary Mawson in the final of the Blue Square UK Open last night.
Wade added the £35,000 UK Open title to the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix victories he took in 2007 with a classy display of darts at the Reebok Stadium.

North American Darts Championship

YOUNG CLAIMS INAUGURAL TITLE
DARIN YOUNG claimed the biggest title of his career with an 8-7 win over Brad Wethington in the final of the inaugural North American Darts Championship.
Young edged a final leg thriller to pick up the $15,000 first prize at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, with Wethington missing two darts for victory before the Pennsylvania star took the decider in 13 darts.
