Barney To Part With Manager

Posted on September 4th, 2009

FOLLOWING three years of working closely together, Raymond and his manager Ed van der Veer will end their relationship following the Skybet World Grand Prix in Dublin.

“The reduced economic climate and all the travelling are the main reasons for the decision,” said Ed. “Also, maybe another person can give Raymond’s career a new inject, such as was the case when we began working together in 2006.”

There is still the possibility that Raymond and Ed will work together on the exhibition circuit, depending on practical circumstances.

“I think that we both had the feeling that 2009 would be our last year,” said Raymond. “It has been three fantastic years, but everything must come to an end. “The fact that we will continue to do exhibitions together says something about our friendship and the way we have split up. It shows how this can be done.”

Following the World Grand Prix, Ed will return to working in business for an investment group in the field of new business development.

September will see the transfer of all activities back to Raymond, alongside his preparation for the World Grand Prix.

“Naturally I want to peak in Dublin and will do anything to achieve a good result,” said Raymond. “That would be a brilliant way to say farewell.”
