2012 Belgian Open Details

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

From Friday 3rd till Sunday 5th August 2012 the Belgian Darts Federation organises for the 31st time the Belgian Open Darts. The Community Centre ‘Den Boomgaard’, Antwerpsesteenweg 57 in Broechem, Ranst will host this for the 4th time.

An overview of the different events to be played.

Friday 3rd August 2012 at 2pm the final tournament of the International Belgium Darts Tour will be played. The first 32 men and first 8 ladies of the ranking of previous season will play in groups.

At 8pm the warming-up tournament for ladies, girls, boys, young boys and men will be held. Entry on the spot till 7.30pm.

Saturday 4th August 2012 the singles will be played from 10am with the winners of all series receive a ticket for the Winmau World Masters and for the ladies and men’s winner also can play the qualifiers of the Lakeside World Professional Championships.

For the first time in history the World Darts Federation has installed a youth ranking at which the Belgian Open Youth is part of. This means that all single events counts towards the world rankings. The ladies and men’s singles also count towards the BDO invitational tables, the Zuiderduin Masters ranking and the rankings of the Belgian Darts Federation and the International Belgium Darts Tour.

Sunday 5th August 2012 the pairs are played. At 10am the mixed pairs will start and in the afternoon the ladies and men will follow.

The Belgian Open is one of the biggest open darts tournaments of Europe with a high level and an fantastic atmosphere. Each year the tournament has more than 1.000 participants. It knows no secrets. All players, amateurs and pro’s side by side in one hall, which gives everybody enough possibility for a photograph or a signature.
