Firstly we must congratulate Michael van Gerwen for winning the event and importantly winning his first PDC major, the format of the World Grand Prix makes it one of the most difficult tournaments to win, and thus predict!
Therefore we must make a special mention to Simon Flemming who topped the Tipster leaderboard and actually had MvG to win the final 6-4.
The vagaries of our system though means he didn’t automatically take away a prize. Remember all you have to do is Beat The Tipster to get into the prize draw, final placings do not guarantee a prize.
In fact we should highlight the fact that DartsMad Lee came in second place overall, some 30 odd places above The Tipster, and was drawn out.
However as site owner he plays for fun only and therefore the prize was allocated upwards to first placed Simon instead.
Out of over 130 entries, 33 players beat our Tipster to stand a chance of winning the Unicorn prizes. The Iceman – Alan Warriner-Little made the draw for us and the full list of winners can be found below and you can check out Alan’s website here.

Well done to the winners who will be contacted in the next few days to arrange delivery of their prizes. If you were unsuccessful this time you can try your luck in our latest competition for the new John Lowe IPhone/iPad App here.
Special thanks once again to Unicorn for their continued sponsorship of the DartsMad.com Beat The Tipster competition.
Keep an eye out future Tipster competitions (The Grand Slam will see a return to our Fantasy League format) or subscribe to our news updates to ensure you never miss out.
