Bash The Bookies With The Tungsten Tipster’s Darts Betting Tips
Three weeks into the 2013 McCoy’s Premier League Darts, and despite a poor second week we still find ourselves +17 points ahead of the bookmakers. Here are this week’s darts betting tips from The Tungsten Tipster:
Thornton v Anderson – the battle of the Scots will be a tight tussle that is too close to call so we’ll go for Anderson to hit the most 180’s at Evens.
Hamilton v van Gerwen– after two opening draws that he really should have won, Mighty Mike found his clinical finishing against Barney last week and should plough on against the hardy Hammer. There is no value here apart from an optional punt on correct score 7-3 pays 4/1 and 7-4 pays 6/1 so cover both.
Wade v Taylor – Wade has two wins to his name and sits just a point behind The Power but I can only see this going one way – a Taylor victory. Wade’s highest checkout in the three weeks so far is 76. This won’t continue so the 5/6 on offer for a finish over 90.5 could be a steal.
Newton v Lewis – Newton collected his first point last week but probably should have won. Lewis slumped to third straight defeat with his new gear. The draw looks favourite but we’ll give Newton a chance with the Draw No Bet on offer at 11/10.
Barney v Whitlock – the match of the night. The Barney Rolls Royce resurgence was stopped in its tracks by a hot van Gerwen last week as Whitlock went down to Taylor. No real surprises there so who will bounce back best? I would plump for The Dutchman at 11/10 but I spotted another Wade-like bet for Whitlock. WH have him at 5/6 to hit a finish over 98.5. Given the bearded Aussie’s finishing prowess, and the mere fact that his high checkouts in his three matches so far have been 121, 98, 140, we have to be all over this.

- Wade highest match checkout over 90.5 @ 5/6 (3PTS)

- Whitlock highest match checkout over 98.5 @ 5/6 (4PTS)
