The 29th International Belgian Open Darts Championships will be organised on the 6th-7th-8th August 2010 in Ranst (near Antwerp).

Entries for this event close on Sunday 1st August 2010! After this date no entries for the singles are accepted. If you want to participate at the singles, you have time till 1st August to enter through the online entry form at www.bdbdarts.be

The Belgian Open will be held – just as last year – in the Community Centre Den Boomgaard, Antwerpsesteenweg 57, 2520 Broechem-Ranst. The venue is only 15 km from the centre of Antwerp, where you can find accommodation at any price.

Friday 6th August 2010 there will be a singles warming up tournament with entry on the spot till 7pm. The tournament begins at 7.30pm and there will be played in 5 categories: ladies, men’s, girls, boys and young boys.

On Saturday 7th August 2010 the Belgian Open Singles (Ladies, Men’s, Girls and Boys) will be played. At 10am the Men’s are played, followed by the Youth (not before 11am) and Ladies (not before 12pm). All finals will be played on stage.

Sunday 8th August 2010 the Belgian Open Pairs (Mixed, Ladies and Men’s) are played. At 10am the Mixed Pairs will kick off and are played up until the semi finals, after which the Ladies and Men’s Pairs will start at 1pm app, and after conclusion of those semi finals, all finals are played on stage.

The Belgian Open carries an attractive prize fund of 20.000 euro, with the Men’s Singles winner earning 2.500 euro and the Ladies Singles winner taking 1.200 euro back home.

Besides the money, the Belgian Open Singles is very highly ranked by the WDF (cat 2) and BDO (cat B), and it is also counts towards the Zuiderduin Masters ranking. For the Belgian players the Belgian Open means the start of the new National Ranking season, with 3 days of points to be gained.

The winner in every category of the singles also takes a Winmau World Masters ticket for the 2010 edition and both Ladies and Men’s winner are invited for the qualifying tournament of the Lakeside World Darts Championship, held the day before the Winmau. All players competing in the singles event must be eligible to play in the Winmau Worls Masters and Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships.

We hope to receive your entry as soon as possible. The pre-registration ends on Sunday 1st August 2010 and as the draw of the singles will be made on Monday, no late entry will be accepted or changes will be possible after the closing date. Late entries for the Pairs and changes are accepted till 7th August 2010 at 7pm after which the draw of the pairs will be made.

Registration cards with times and boards where players need to play need to be picked up at the venue. Those for the singles will be available from Friday evening, for the pairs after the draw has been done. Entries can be done online at www.bdbdarts.be
