This week, one bet, even money, what more can be asked apart from a winner? Our bet of the week is the game between Peter Wright and Wes Newton.

Darts Betting TipsPeter Wright at the time of writing is evens with Paddy Power, which represents a 50% chance of winning the match. The pair recently met in the quarter final of the World Championships, which Wright won on a tie breaker to edge out Newton.

In the match, Wright won in match play legs 22-20, hit a near 96 average and outscored Newton in the 100 and 140 stakes. All of which will come into play when the pair meet on Thursday night.

In a race to seven, unless we see a draw, Wright has the advantage of throwing first. Wright is effective at holding his throw well and it will take a 12 darter from Newton to break the throw!

With Snakebite throwing first and on consistent grounds, we feel the crowd will be on his side leading him to victory.

Recommendation:

  • Wright to beat Newton – 1/1 Paddy Power – 5 points

Record of bets:

  • NO nine dart finish – 11/10 Coral, Hills, Winner and Betway 2 points
  • Lewis NOT to make the semi finals – 7/4 Sportingbet 2 points
  • Newton to finish in bottom two – 10/11 Paddy Power 2 points
