It went to the last couple of legs before our checkout bet was blown out last week; leaving a small loss for the night but the aim is to turn things around this week.

Gary Anderson looks to continue his awesome 2014 after pocketing a fourth title on Saturday beating the man who is back – Phil Taylor. Wes Newton has been back after illness for two weeks now and Thursday night is a make or break situation. Despite winning just two legs, Wes has played some good darts, especially in his comeback week where Gerwen crushed him 7-1 despite getting a 100+ average himself.

Newton takes on Anderson in his first double header of the night. The Scotsman has won 5 out of 6 of their recent meetings – most recently with a 6-3 victory in the PDC Players Championship on March 15th, but is at 4/5 still with Bet365.

Anderson has averaged 2.71 maximums versus 3.17 from Newton, with Wes at 6/4 for most 180’s and 5/6 at Coral eliminating the draw. In seven weeks, the 6.5 line has been crossed just twice, and Sportingbet head the market at 8/11 for fewer than seven maximums.

Michael van Gerwen is averaging 3.86 maximums compared to Wright on 1.71 and is just under 1/2 for most 180’s in that match. In the last three weeks MvG has hit 14 compared to Wright’s six, and is a banker for the nights game.

Barney should be good to double this bet up in a double Dutch bet hitting over a 97.5 average. Barney has averaged over this figure in the last two weeks and has accomplished the feat four times in seven weeks.

Barney playing Phil could work for us, if Phil plays to his very best. The less doubles Barney has to hit will protect his match average with the double paying just over 8/5 with Irish firm Paddy Power.
