Your Chance to be a PDC Pro Tour Marker!
Posted on March 20th, 2010
The PDC are looking for ‘day officials’ for marking the UK Pro Tour and UK open events for 2010. We are hoping to get 32 markers at each venue. Markers must be experienced and will have to mark for approximately 2-2.5 hours on and off during the day. Markers will have to cover their own travel to and from the event and will have to refrain from drinking alcohol whilst they are ‘on duty’ or until the final 8 players, where the PDC markers will take over.
All we need for now is a committment in the form of ‘yes I can’ and where and what dates you are volunteering for. We will then get back to and you will have to provide a contact address and a contact number.

Posted on December 16th, 2009
NOW REGISTERING FOR THE TWO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The DartsMad Tipster comp has become an institution and is easy to play – for major darts tournaments we ask you to predict the outcome of every match. You need to get your early results correct to ensure your predicted players make it through to the later stages – the more you get right, the more points you can earn.
You earn points for predicting the correct winner of a match and extra points for predicting the correct score of a match. Our tipster league table is updated after each round and you can see whether you are on course to Beat The Tipster.
Our resident DartsMad Tipster makes his (or her) predictions at the start of the tournament and the aim is simply to beat his (or her) total score. All those who Beat The Tipster go into the hat for the prizes.

Both poker and darts are highly popular pursuits. The games are available online, in fact, that there are organizations dedicated to making sure the rules of video poker and online darts are conformed. Similar to darts having the World Darts Federation, among others, and poker has the Tournament Directors Association. These rules are put into place in highly competitive tournaments, in which as many as hundreds or even thousands of people compete for cash prizes as well as prestige.
