Bodugi Fantasy League Darts April 2013 Results

The 2013 Bodugi.com Fantasy League Darts competition kicked off at the end of March and following 8 events across both darting codes we now have our first monthly winners.
Who leads the 2013 Fantasy League Table?
Rather embarrassingly our own DartsMad Lee occupies the top spot, however he’s a guest and plays for nothing more than bragging rights over the rest of us.
So we glance further down the table to Sam Peters with his imaginatively title ‘Sams Team’ & David Boardman with his ‘Better Than Last’ squad who take away a £50 free bet with Bodugi and a set of Pro Darts Practice Rings respectively.
Removing Lee from the equation, team dartsforum.co.uk is our highest placed guest in 10th place, followed by Wes Newton and Peter Manley in 14th and 38th.
Last year’s winner John Scott is not yet troubling the top 100, but it’s early days and FLD is definitely a marathon!
Player Points
Michael van Gerwen leads the player points thanks to his UK Open Qualifier domination, followed by fellow qualifier winner Kim Huybrechts and third placed Wes Newton – who’s victory over Paul Nicholson in the European Darts Trophy bagged 50 of his 56 points.

Fantasy League Darts 2012 Final Results

John Scott Wins Fantasy League Darts 2012
The 2012 Fantasy League Darts season is over and the winner is……… John Scott! John’s ‘Roger Schena is a Legend’ team can be seen below and he takes home the £350 first prize.
John plays the ProTour and used his inside knowledge to his advantage, he also used his two transfers wisely – drafting Waites and Kist in prior to Lakeside. Obviously one of the two did the business for John.
The £350 cheque – not a bad return on John Scott’s £3.50 entry fee.
Second place and £100 goes to Guy Masse a Canadian player who obviously knows his arrers! Although he may look back on dropping Waites early on in the season as a mistake. Glen Coles was just a point behind Guy but his ‘for fun’ status precludes him from picking up a prize!
In third place proper then was 2010 runner-up Jacques Nieuwlaat, a name you should be familiar with; one of his many ‘hats’ sees him on the board of the PDPA as their European delegate.
Jacques was a guest player which means we paid his entry fee and his £50 winnings will be given to a charity of his choice (Haven House). Other notable guest finishing positions were Rod Harrington in 24th place and Peter Manley back in 43rd.
Well done to all three winners who will be contacted shortly to arrange delivery of their cheques, and thanks to everyone for taking part in our fourth season of FLD. Read the rest of this entry »

Fantasy League Darts 2012 October Update

Who leads the 2012 Fantasy League Table?
John Scott retains his leaders position, his team ‘Roger Schena is a Legend’ are still over 200 points clear at the top, whilst 2010 overall winner Dave Sheppard sneaks into second place with his ‘Even Less Chance’ squad.
Jacques Nieuwlatt is the highest placed special guest as Rod Harrington falls out of the top 10. By rights Jacques should have taken the 2nd spot in the manager of the month competition, but his guest status doesn’t qualify him for inclusion in MoM.

Fantasy League Darts 2012 September Update

September is the start of the darting crescendo, following the August break from PDC darts, the calendar rapidly fills up with seemingly an event every week right up until December, culminating of course with the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship swiftly followed by Lakeside.
As such there were plenty of points on offer last month from 7 events including the PDC European Championship and England Classic on the other side of the divide.

Last month’s leader John Scott still heads the top of the table, his team ‘Roger Schena is a Legend’ are now over 200 points clear of Trevor Carey’s Careys Conquerors 4 still in second place. 2010 overall winner Dave Sheppard jumps up the table to take the third spot and Rod Harrington retains the only top 10 place of our special guests. Fantasy League Darts 2012 August Update

August is shutdown time in the world of PDC darts, a rare opportunity for players to unwind and take a break from the rigours of the professional circuit, catch up with family and take holidays in the sun etc. The BDO/WDF calendar on the other hand, ploughs on through the summer, with the Belguim and Swedish darts opens providing FLD ranking points. So if you your team is bereft of BDO boys, you are a certain non-mover this month.
Who leads the 2012 Fantasy League Table?
Two times manager of the month prize winner John Scott leads the competition, his team ‘Roger Schena is a Legend’ are nearly 100 points clear of Veteran FLD player Trevor Carey in second place; a run to the final of the Belguim Open in August by Kristian Kist bagging him plenty of points and keeping his ‘Conquerors’ in the running, whilst Martin Atkins victory at the British Classic elevated John’s team early this month. This means Darting Army have been relegated into third place, elsewhere guest players Jacques Nieuwlaat and Rod Harrington retain their top 10 status.

Fantasy League Darts 2012 July Update

July provided 5 FLD ranking tournaments with the PDC European Tour hitting Dusseldorf, a Crawley Players Championship and the World Matchplay in Blackpool. Two BDO events, The British Classic and England Masters completed the the lineup in Coventry and Blackpool respectively. Winners of the above events being, Colin Lloyd, Raymond van Barneveld, Phil Taylor, Jan Dekker & Daryl Gurney.
Who leads the 2012 Fantasy League Table?
Scott Smith’s Darting Army topped the table this month and also secured him the July Manager of the month first prize, Scott has a strong squad; with no less than 8 of his 10 competing in the World Matchplay to bring home July FLD points. Last years FLD Champion Nathan Stringer, currently residing 63rd also had 8 men contesting the Matchplay, bagging him much need points and second place MoM status.
We also have two special guest entries inside the top 10, Jacques Nieuwlaat and Rod Harrington, their nearest rival being Peter Manley back at number 20 in the table.

Fantasy League Darts 2012 June Results

The UK Open offered plenty of opportunities to accumulate FLD points in June, and anyone with Robert Thornton in their team will be happy with their pick! Elsewhere their was floor action in the PDC Players Championships, and the PDC European Tour in Germany. Squads with Dave Chisnall and The Power will have benefitted from a decent points haul.
This month we can look forward to more televised action on SKY Sports as the PDC rolls into Blackpool for over a week of top tungsten action. With the World Matchplay qualification determined following this weekends European Tour event in Dusseldorf, it may be time to use those transfers! Darts fans outside the UK can also follow the action by registering for LIVE PDC TV.
