2011 BDO Gold Cup Results – 9th July Lakeside
Ross Montgomery (East Renfrewshire) and Lorraine Farlam (Cheshire) are the 2011 Men’s & Women’s Gold Cup Singles Champions. Ross triumphed 3-2 over Dorset’s Paul Carter in a high-scoring and closely fought final in which Ross hit 5 x 180′s, and Lorraine was a 3-0 winner over Montgomery & Radnor’s Sarah Thornbury.
Scott Waites & Garry Thompson (Yorks) and Trina & Sue Gulliver (Warks) are the 2011 Men’s and Women’s Pairs Champions. Scott and Garry were 4-3 winners in another close final against Wiltshire’s Mark Cox and 16 year-old Jack Tweddell.
Trina and Sue started their final with a 180 by Trina in the opening leg, and Julie hit another in the 3rd leg, but it was the Warwickshire pair who triumphed 3-1 to win the 2011 Gold Cup Women’s Pairs title.
