Fantasy League DartsA quick post to let you know about some changes that we have made to the site to make your visits more pleasurable.

We have been giving the site a spray of paint, repairing a few chips & scratches, and doing some fine tuning under the hood. The result is a super-charged site that will hopefully ensure that your visits to us pass in a more enjoyable and speedy way.

The work is ongoing and we have a few more improvements up our sleeve but we thought it worth a post to let you know what we’ve been up to…

  • We have made lots of subtle changes to the look and feel of the site. Tables, buttons, links, images, etc have been nicely formatted, corners have been rounded, colours have been standardised
  • We run the bulk of our darts news on WordPress and have added some neat new plugins to enrich this area:-
  1. Visitors can now subscribe to our news feed and receive emails automatically whenever we post news
  2. We have improved and extended our reach to social media so you can share content across all your favourite social networks
  3. We have improved our Comments functionality to encourage input from visitors. You can now opt to receive emails whenever anybody responds to your comment(s)
  4. We have implemented Smart Links and Recommended Posts to provide a richer reading experience when you in our News section. It is now much easier to find content related to whatever you are reading.
  5. We have improved the caching, loading and refreshing of the site to speed things up all round. Your visits should be noticeably faster.
  1. The database undergoes constant tuning and is now running quicker than ever
  2. The whole network of data is being linked together giving our visitors a seamless way of finding the info they need. We now have over 70,000 matches and over 10,000 players registered
  3. We have extended the range of stats that we hold to include 100+ scores, 140+ scores and Checkout % for major tournaments
  4. Our Head 2 Head checker has become a very popular resource
  5. We have added our brand new All-Time Player Ranking system and a new 9-Dart Club feature
  • Our £500 Fantasy League Darts competition is in its fourth year and is more popular than ever. We have made a number of improvements for 2012:-
  1. The Leaderboard has been improved to allow sorting & filtering. A Position column has been added. Famous names & ‘fun’ players are highlighted
  2. Player Lists now show the last two year’s FLD scores and also how many times they have been selected
  3. The Tournament Schedule page has been improved
  4. The Team Lineup page has been improved
  • Our Beat The Tipster competition is still going strong and we expect to announce a new title sponsor for 2012 very soon

So as you can see there has been a lot going on at DartsMad Towers and we haven’t finished there. Our aim is always to bring you the most honest and in depth coverage of the sport of darts. There honestly is no other website out there that gives you so much under one roof. If you sit still you go backwards so we will continually push the DartsMad brand forward to ensure we lead the pack when it comes to internet darts coverage.

Thanks for visiting and many thanks for taking the time to read.
