The £400,000 Grand Slam of Darts will begin on Saturday November 13 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, with eight matches from Groups A-D beginning nine days of live action on ITV4.

The Group A battle between Colin Osborne and Robert Thornton will open the tournament on Saturday evening, before Mervyn King takes on PDC Unicorn Women’s World Champion Stacy Bromberg.

Vincent van der Voort meets Tony O’Shea and Gary Anderson takes on Mark Hylton before Simon Whitlock, the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship runner-up in January, faces Lakeside Championship finalist Dave Chisnall.

World number two James Wade plays Justin Pipe, Wolverhampton’s Wayne Jones plays Mark Webster and 2008 runner-up Terry Jenkins rounds off the opening night against ITV Wildcard Qualifier John Henderson.

Scott Waites, the 2009 runner-up, faces Co Stompe in Sunday afternoon’s opening game as Groups E-H begin their challenges.

Colin Lloyd meets Darryl Fitton, Paul Nicholson faces rising star Arron Monk, Wes Newton plays Ted Hankey and Ronnie Baxter takes on Steve Beaton.

Adrian Lewis will then face another debutant, Martin Phillips, before Raymond van Barneveld plays Tricia Wright and the afternoon session ends with Phil Taylor’s clash with Michael van Gerwen.

Sunday evening will see Groups A-D play their second games, as the winners from Saturday’s matches face each other and the losing players also face off.

Monday night will see Groups E-H play their second games, Tuesday sees Groups A-D compete in their final matches and Wednesday sees Groups E-H complete the round-robin first round.

The top two players from each group will progress to compete in the knockout phase from Thursday onwards, with the possibility of a nine-dart shoot-out to separate players who are locked on leg difference after three group matches.
