Bash The Bookies!

Our Tipster ended the first week of his DartsMad tipster service 139 points in profit. So if you were following him all week and substituted points for pounds, you would have banked £139. Not too bad eh?

Following 3 days off to basically eat and drink to excess (nothing new for most darts players then) we now turn our attention to the post Xmas darts, the third round fixtures or last 16, however you care to label them, it doesn’t matter. However, bashing the bookies does!

Phil Taylor and Andy Hamilton have already reached the quarter finals having played their games before the festivities began. Which means we have 12 players left to battle for their place in the last 8; all 6 games will be contested tomorrow, 27 December. So what has the Tipster found for us…

World Championship Darts Betting Tips from The Tungsten Tipster

Thursday 27 December 2012

In your Tipster’s opinion tomorrow throws up the most exciting day’s play to date in this years’s World Championship, with some fantastic matches in store.

After a great first week (+139 pts) I would like to carry on where we left off, and have a couple of max bets up my sleeve which will assist us in replicating those successes.

WES NEWTON V MARK WALSH

I watched Wes make a super confident Scott Rand look quite ordinary in a match where Newton suddenly came into the reckoning of being a serious contender for the title, and as long as his arm holds up, Wes should be too good for Walshie.

Walsh put in a shift in his last game against Justin Pipe and showed a glimmer of his old game, but he knows that he has to up that game against a high scoring Newton

NEWTON TO HAVE HIGHEST C/OUT @ 8/13, W HILL 20pts
NEWTON – 1.5 HANDICAP @ 8/11, W HILL 15pts

SIMON WHITLOCK V DAVE CHISNAL

This could be the most explosive game of the day between two players that are renowned for high scoring; although when it comes down to nailing the doubles Whitlock is more consistent than Chisnall, so wait for the fireworks. The high checkout of under 139.5  is way over priced in my mind and is 4 pts out with other bookies

CHISNAL MOST 180’S  @4/7  W HILL 25PTS
UNDER 139.5 CHECKOUT @10/11, BETVICTOR 20PTS
WHITLOCK HIGHEST CHECKOUT 4/6@W HILL 20 PTS

JAMES WADE V VINCENT VAN DE VOORT

My opinion of  Wade is that he has gears and tends to only use them when he has to, i.e. does enough to beat the man put in front of him. He still seems a little under the weather but has definitely come back from his recent problems a more focussed player. Being disappointed with his performances so far suggests that there is a lot more to come as long as he keeps it together.

Vincent has also has his health issues and must be really pleased to have got this far, especially conquering the in form 9 dart man Winstanley. Van De Voort kept it together well and if he brings that 47% check out rate tomorrow could be dangerous, however Wades synchromesh gearbox should still give him the edge!

WADE  -1.5 HANDICAP @ 8/13, W HILL 20 PTS
WADE MOST 180’S @ 11/10, W HILL 15 PTS

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN V COLIN LLOYD

There’s not much to write about this and not too much value to be had either,  but Van Gerwen will come out a convincing winner; Lloyd has shown a little bit of form this last week or so but is not inVan Gerwen’s class.

VAN GERWEN -2.5 HANDICAP @ 5/4, W HILL 20 PTS
TOTAL 180’s OVER 10.5  @ 4/5, LADS 20 PTS

GARY ANDERSON V RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD

This promises to be another cracking game with Anderson finding his best form of the year at the right time; 19 x180’s with a 98 ave in his last match means he must come into the reckoning here.

Barney has also been in blistering form of late, but I can assure you this, he will not be hitting more 180’s than Anderson if both play to merit. In terms of the winner and man who has the all round game I expect Barney to edge this one

MOST 180’s ANDERSON @ 8/11, BETFRED 20PTS
OVER 130.5 CHECK/OUT @ 4/6, LADS 20PTS

KEVIN PAINTER V ADRIAN LEWIS

This is the game I have been waiting for since they were drawn together, and the old saying ‘dont put your  eggs in one basket’ might be my downfall. I’ve said from the start that Lewis will not being winning a third title, and from what I’ve seen from him in the tournament so far, I’m not backtracking on that.

The outlook does favour Painter who has been in great form with numerous 180’s, with solid and big finishing. My money is definitely on Painter, 15/8 the other day and now 6/4, I think the bookies are starting to realise my way of thinking. If the Xmas break does turn it round for Lewis, then sobeit,  but going on form he has no chance.

PAINTER TO WIN @ 13/8, W HILL 30 PTS MAX BET
PAINTER +1.5  HANDICAP @10/11, BETFRED 30 PTS
PAINTER MOST 180’s @ 2/1, W HILL 20PTS
