We had a bad night in week 12; being pipped on our recommendations and did not live up to our own expectations. Therefore  we aim to rebound with a couple of value darts betting tips for you this week.

Premier League Darts Week 12 Betting Tips

The better news is, our advised ante-post bet of Lewis not to qualify at 7/4 could well be settled by the end of Thursday night!

We are almost certain Lewis cannot qualify now, as results will need to go his way and there is plenty of competition for the top four places.

  1. MVG – 20 pts +25 legs
  2. Barney – 19 pts +22 legs
  3. Wright – 15 pts +11 legs
  4. Taylor*-  14 pts +5 legs
  5. Anderson – 14 pts  +3
  6. Chisnall* 10 pts – 5 legs
  7. Lewis – 10 pts -12 legs
  8. Thornton – Cannot make top four (7 pts -14 legs)

*Players play twice in week 13

Fixtures:

  • Thornton Vs Chisnall
  • Barney Vs Taylor

  • Chisnall Vs Taylor

Please note the player on the left will throw first!

A quick recap on last week:

  • 3 dart average – Barney 106.65
  • Most 180s – Thornton – 12
  • Highest checkout – Thornton 137

Barney Vs Taylor (11-4-48)

Barney has never beaten Phil in the Premier League and has wasted at least a couple of opportunities to defeat him by allowing the Power back in to edge a draw.

They have draw in at one meeting this year and also a group stage in last years event. Phil hit the highest average last week and gave every indication he was now back.

Taylor is 8/13 with Barneveld 100/30 at Ladbrokes and 9/2 for the draw. Bwin goes 17/20 on Taylor hitting over 101.5 average. Phil has averaged over 106 in the last two weeks, so on a stats bet it stands out.

Barney has lost just once in the competition and another point should make Barney a certainty for the play offs!

The psychological angle of this game has Taylor as Barney’s Achilles heel, although Taylor -2.5 at evens is too short considering he is 8/13 to win the game and must win 7-4 throwing second.

Lewis Vs Wright (5-0-3)

In the three meetings since 2013, Wright has been the better player including a 7-1 mashing back in week four (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p61BXKorvkc) in an excellent encounter, which only saw three maximums, but a stunning 119 checkout from Wright.

Lewis has it all to do and think his nemesis being the premier league is not his event. We all know Jackpot is a fantastic player, and proves it on the longer format and is 7/5 with Boylesports to win, with Wright at 11/8 in places and 15/4 the draw with Bet365.

Interestingly the draw price is the shortest price compared to the other four this week with Wright drawing three and Lewis four in thirteen matches.

Ideally a draw is no good for either player, with Lewis being eliminated if he loses and the danger of Wright dropping out the top four in the event Anderson wins his match.

This game will be tense and could go the distance. So covering the 7-5 scorelines either way at 15/2 and 11/2, you can also back the draw at 15/4 if you prefer this angle to the 5/4 for over 11.5 legs.

Lewis should hit most 180’s but at 4/7 is not worth taking on as he hit just one last week. Wright is not a big hitter either, considering under 5.5 but at 5/6 is still a little skinny as we know players when they have a need to win often see better performances.

We also like the 42/41 Bwin offer on Wright under 97.50 average. Five of the last six weeks has seen this occur, and at odds against should be considered!
