BDO World Champion Scott Waites won the € 5,000 mens Dutch Darts Open title for the second time, beating fellow Yorkshire player James Wilson 3-2 after initially falling behind in the final.

Dutch Darts OpenJames Wilson continues to impress; his route to the final including a 5-4 quarter-final victory of Steven Bunting, and despite loosing out to Waites in a closely contested final he did taste victory as he was crowned the 2013 Dutch Open Men’s Pairs Champion with partner Gary Robson.

In the ladies contest nine-times Lakeside champion Trina Gulliver took a  fifth Dutch Open title to add to her previous victories in 1999, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In the final Gulliver overcame Loraine Farlam 5-3 after earlier beating Deta Hedman in the semi-finals. Gulliver also won the pairs title with Zoe Jones.

A total of 203 participants played in the youth tournament divided into three categories. The truly international field saw three winners from different countries. The Champions were Russian Mikhail Kuriticin, UK and AM Dart’s player Casey Gallager and the Dutchman Quin Wester.
