Taylor Honoured at PDC Awards

PHIL TAYLOR was named as the PDC Player of the Year and inducted into the PDC’s Hall of Fame on Tuesday night, while Adrian Lewis, Simon Whitlock, Mark Hylton and Arron Monk also picked up trophies at the PDC Awards Dinner.
Taylor was presented with the top honour at the Professional Darts Corporation’s Annual Awards Dinner, held at The Dorchester in London when he took the Player of the Year title.
Taylor’s success in the past 12 months since he won a 15th World Championship title included victories in the Rileys Darts Zones UK Open, StanJames.com World Matchplay, PartyPoker.net European Championship and Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts, where he hit a historic two nine-darters in the final against James Wade.

Both poker and darts are highly popular pursuits. The games are available online, in fact, that there are organizations dedicated to making sure the rules of video poker and online darts are conformed. Similar to darts having the World Darts Federation, among others, and poker has the Tournament Directors Association.
