GIRL POWER! ‘Laura G’ beats Phil Taylor at Rileys Wolverhampton

Friday 21st October saw another great night out at Rileys Wolverhampton with Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor on form as he entertained the 200+ crowd.

As part of his one-man roadshow with Rileys, Phil gave a number of competition winners a chance to try their luck against him to see if they could beat the 15 times world champion in the impressive Darts Zone at the Wolverhampton club.

With two additional places up for grabs on the evening a free prize draw was held to fill one of them, and the final place was put up for a charity auction where one Rileys regular generously bid £100 for a chance to play against The Power.

Phil beat all but one of his challengers; a young lady known as ‘Laura G’ bravely stepped up to the oche and – perhaps with a little help from the MC on the night – she went on to beat him by hitting the double she required.

Phil took it all in good humour and once the darts was over he did his usual Q&A with the audience before signing autographs and posing for photos with everyone.

Phil is the darts ambassador for Rileys and is currently travelling the UK visiting a number of Rileys Dartzones. The next event is is Loughborough on Monday 21st November, followed by Birkenhead on Thursday 24th November.

Rileys Sportsbars have 47 Darts Zones across the UK, with plans to increase this.  Each has six or eight throwing lanes, championship quality Harrows Matchplay boards and electronic scoring.
