World Matchplay Darts Betting (Points 1-5, 5 points Max Bet)

Second Round Betting Wednesday 24 July

Well all the good work was undone last night as some scintillating darts were on show. These players are so closely matched now it does make the betting a lot harder to predict. We are still a point up but our good start has all but been wiped out.

White v Hamilton – Hamilton is rock solid but White showed enough to convince me he can get close so let’s take the handicap. White +3.5 @ Coral (4 pts).

Dolan v Lewis - Lewis showed that he probably hasn’t captured the consistency he once had so my bet has to be Dolan +4.5 @ Coral (5pts) max bet.

MvG v Wright - Wright is no fall guy at the moment and is playing like a top ten player. MvG should have too much muscle but my bet again is the handicap for the outsider. Wright +5.5 @ betvictor 8/11 (4pts).

Caven v Chisnall – if only we could trust Chizzy to hit his doubles! A safer option is Caven to have the highest check out @ William Hill evens (3pts).

Second Round Betting Tuesday 23 July

In a nine day tournament we should expect to get a pounding somewhere along the line and unfortunately last night was the night. It’s not all bad news though as we are still showing a tournament profit so far of 8.75 points.

Tuesday night is redemption night as we head into the last 16. Firstly I’ve spotted a good price for Whitlock to have more 180’s against Painter which is  5 point max bet straight away @ 4/6.

I reckon Pipe will drive Barney up the wall tonight by slowing him down and upsetting the Dutchman’s free throwing rhythm. Therefore I’m going for 4 points on Pipe with a +3.5 handicap at evens.

Wade v Anderson is potentially the game of the night, a rapid fire Anderson looked solid in the first round but Wade also looked in good shape. I’m going for Wade to get the highest check out @ 8/11 for another 5 point max bet.

Taylor is a total professional and you know he’s put in the hours on the practice board in preparation for this tournament. He doesn’t need the money but loves winning and wants to get his hands on that trophy for a 14th time. He is not a prolific 180 scorer though so the bet is 3 points on Jenkins most 180’s @ 5/6.

Double of the day is Whitlock more 180’s & Wade highest checkout – another 5 point max bet.
