PHIL TAYLOR

THE greatest ever darts player, Phil has been undefeated in the previous three years of Premier League Darts and claimed an unrivalled 13 World Championships during an incredible career.
Taylor has spent almost 20 years at the top of the game, and taken every major honour the sport has to offer during that time, as well as taking the standard of professional darts to a new level.
He has landed five televised nine-darters, more than any other player, but is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2007, in which he missed out in all five Sky Sports-televised majors despite claiming glory in the Premier League, Grand Slam of Darts, PDC US Open and German Darts Championship.

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD

HOLLAND’S most famous darts player, Raymond has picked up five World Championships in a highly successful career, which has reached new heights in the past two years since he moved onto the PDC circuit.

In March 2006, he became the only player in Premier League Darts history to hit a nine-dart leg, against Peter Manley in Bournemouth, but has been knocked out in the semi-finals of both campaigns after finishing second in the league table.

JAMES WADE

JAMES makes his Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts debut in 2008 following a superb rise to the top of the sport, which sees him now ranked third in the PDC Order of Merit.
Wade saw his potential – which has included a number of wins on the circuit and three nine-darters in one calendar year – taken into the major televised tournaments over the past 18 months, following up a World Matchplay final appearance in 2006 with glory in that event last year.
That success was followed with victory in the World Grand Prix last October in a run of form which saw him reach the final of 11 non-televised tournaments during 2007 and win a Players Championship in Gibraltar in January this year.

TERRY JENKINS

TERRY made a highly successful Premier League Darts debut in 2007, finishing third in the league table before edging out Raymond van Barneveld to reach the final, where he lost to Phil Taylor.
That run has been accompanied by four other appearances in major finals during the last 18 months, although he has been denied titles by Taylor, van Barneveld and James Wade in the World Grand Prix (twice), Las Vegas Desert Classic and World Matchplay.
One of the most consistent performers on the circuit, he won two non-televised tournaments during 2007.

ADRIAN LEWIS

ADRIAN enjoyed his debut season in Premier League Darts last year, but paid for six straight defeats in the middle of the campaign as he missed out on the play-offs.
Arguably the most gifted young talent emerging in the sport, the 23-year-old burst onto the scene in 2005 and quickly rose into the PDC’s top ten with three non-televised titles.
He has established himself as a top performer on the big stage since, reaching the World Series of Darts final two years ago and the World Matchplay semi-finals in 2007.
