2001 runner-up Roland Scholten will take on Kevin Painter, while Colin Osborne will make his World Grand Prix debut against Chris Mason.

Alex Roy, who dramatically claimed a place in the tournament by reaching the final of the Welsh Players Championship on Saturday, to put himself among the four PDPA Qualifiers, takes on rising star Wes Newton in his opener.
